We are seeking an expert SAP ABAP Lead to architect and drive development tracks for a business carveout project. In this role, you will lead the creation of custom extraction and transformation logic required to isolate data for specific company codes. This position requires deep technical mastery of systems heavy in SAP FI, CO, and PS, alongside the ability to write custom routines capable of successfully injecting historical "closed" status transactional data back into a target SAP environment.

You will also provide technical support to functional consultants across FI, CO, PS, SD and MM modules for migration of open data during a carveout project.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Architecture:
  Design and develop the custom ABAP and SQL extraction strategy required to cleanly filter and isolate carveout data from legacy company codes.
• Historical Data Ingestion:
  Implement technical solutions (such as custom BAPIs, direct input programs, or validation bypass routines) to successfully load historical, closed-status data into SAP without generating system errors or violating application layer validation rules.
• Cross-Module Technical Support:
  Work closely with functional consultants to translate business rules into high-performance code across a landscape heavy in FI (GL, AP, AR), CO (CCA, PCA), and Project Systems (PS), while providing technical guidance on SD and MM data structures.
• Performance Optimization:
  Review and tune complex Open SQL / Native SQL queries to handle volume extractions and load quickly, minimizing downtime during critical cutover windows.
• Development Leadership:
  Lead an onshore/offshore team of ABAP developers, conducting code reviews, maintaining development standards, and ensuring alignment with the overall migration timeline.

Required Skills Qualifications

• Experience:
  
  7+ years of SAP ABAP development experience, with a proven track record as a Technical Lead or Track Lead on SAP Carveouts or company code splits.
• Custom Extraction Closed Data:
  Experience writing custom ABAP extraction tools and successfully loading closed/historical transactional data and migration of open transactional data.
• Core Module Table Knowledge:
  Deep understanding of the data dictionary, underlying tables, and standard enhancement points for SAP FI, CO, and PS.
• Cross-Module Familiarity:
  Technical comfort handling data structures and standard master/transactional objects in Sales Distribution (SD) and Materials Management (MM).
• Advanced Programming:
  Expertise in Object-Oriented ABAP, advanced SQL programming, ALE/IDocs, BAPIs and performance tuning tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep technical expertise specialized in SAP ECC 6.0 landscapes (including classical Net Weaver architecture, BDCs, and standard LSMW).
• Experience using automated data reconciliation tools to accelerate business sign-off
