Pilot Operator – Field

• Operate a combination of Cathode Ray Tube (CRT)/keyboard/Voice Communication System (VCS)
• Simulate actions and communication of pilots and remote ATC facilities during training exercises
• Receive voice commands from students
• Input proper entries into the automated system to simulate pilot actions
• Respond to students utilizing proper phraseology

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of experience in a comparable position
• Ability to type 40 wpm with 90% accuracy
• Ability to read and interpret materials such as diagrams and manuals
• Ability to speak clearly and be understood
• Must pass knowledge tests with a minimum score of 70%
• Observe certified RPO on a minimum of 5 simulation scenarios
• Training on 5 to 20 simulation scenarios for certification

Demonstrates proficiency in operating communication systems and simulating pilot actions during training exercises, with a strong emphasis on clear communication and accurate input into automated systems.
