To process and receive materials and equipment, maintain inventory control and records, and perform related work.

• Completes accurate tally of goods and services received, which includes weight, destination, and charges from bills of lading and shipper’s declaration
• Receives incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from customers
• Traces lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments; initiates retrieval of proof of delivery documents
• Partners with inside sales to review and correct customer order discrepancies
• Communicates with transport companies and suppliers to expedite, trace, or return merchandise that does not conform to specifications or purchase orders
• Resolves discrepancies on the Metalware system or on manifest
• Keeps records of materials received and uploads to the Imaging system for the team to access

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Related industry experience preferred

• Possess effective communication skills, which include verbal and written
• Must have experience with Microsoft Office
• Willingness to learn mainframe program (Metalware)
• Start time varies from 7am-8am with a consistent 8‑hour-a-day schedule
• Good background/knowledge in Customer Service skills, shipping and/or receiving experience
• Knowledge of imaging and bill of lading techniques
• Good knowledge of industry standard tools and processes
• Strong comfort level with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Power Point
