In this role, you will be responsible for processing and receiving materials and equipment, maintaining inventory control and records, and performing related tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Completes accurate tally of goods and services received, which includes weight, destination, and charges from bills of lading and shipper’s declaration.
  • Receives incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from customers.
  • Traces lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments; initiates retrieval of proof of delivery documents.
  • Partners with inside sales to review and correct customer order discrepancies.
  • Communicates with transport companies and suppliers to expedite, trace, or return merchandise that does not conform to specifications or purchase orders.
  • Resolves discrepancies on the Metalware system or on manifest.
  • Keeps records of materials received and uploads to the Imaging system for the team to access.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Related industry experience preferred.
  • Good background/knowledge in customer service skills, shipping and/or receiving experience.
  • Knowledge of imaging and bill of lading techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standard tools and processes.
  • Strong comfort level with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Requirements
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to learn mainframe program (Metalware).
  • Start time varies from 7am-8am with a consistent 8-hour-a-day schedule.
