Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Maintenance Technician to support a rapidly growing, dynamic property management organization. The Technician performs general maintenance of apartment communities, including repairs, troubleshooting, apartment turnover, and preventive maintenance. This role reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Responsibilities- Work with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure maintenance functions are performed properly and promptly.
- Ensure effective and timely follow‑up with residents, vendors, and the property management team on all maintenance services provided.
- Respond to all on‑call emergencies promptly.
- Complete and follow up on all open unresolved tickets.
- Use general maintenance equipment safely, including hand tools, ladders, landscaping equipment, and required safety gear.
- Inspect grounds, buildings, and community features daily to identify maintenance tasks, minimize liability, and maintain curb appeal.
- Participate in company training classes and meetings.
- Follow policies related to fair housing, OSHA, pool safety, and company standards.
- Perform other tasks or duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in apartment maintenance, including basic electrical and plumbing diagnostics/repair.
- Team player who respects colleagues and promotes a collaborative atmosphere.
- Positive attitude and effective communication skills.
- Enjoy helping people.
- Basic tools for the trade.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Flexibility to respond to occasional off‑hour emergencies.
- HVAC certification preferred (CFC Universal).
