We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Team Leader to oversee daily operations in our repair shop. This role involves supervising a team of technicians, ensuring timely and high‑quality repairs, maintaining safety standards, and coordinating with other departments to meet operational goals.
How You’ll Make An Impact- Lead a team of mechanical technicians and apprentices. Assign tasks and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of repair jobs.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and provide technical guidance on complex repairs. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts usage, and service reports. Coordinate with inventory and procurement teams to ensure availability of necessary parts and tools.
- Train and mentor team members to enhance technical skills and productivity. Develop KPI measures to monitor repair production and status.
- Conduct regular inspections of tools, equipment, and workstations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process optimization.
- Technical certification or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
- 5+ years preferred of hands‑on mechanical repair experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Ability to multitask and perform in a high‑pace work environment.
- Proficient in using maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
