Job Title:
Material Handler
A typical day in this position involves cycle counts, data entry, forklift driving, operating a saw, and ensuring efficiency in computer systems. Safety is the top priority at all times in this role.
Responsibilities- Perform cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Enter data into computer systems efficiently and accurately.
- Operate forklifts safely and effectively.
- Handle materials, ensuring proper storage and organization.
- Operate saws and other machinery as needed.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety protocols at all times.
- Proficiency in forklift operation.
- Previous warehouse experience.
- Basic computer knowledge and math skills.
- Ability to read and utilize a ruler.
- Experience in cycle counting.
Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a warehouse or production environment, preferably in a metals or manufacturing facility.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in inventory control, shipping and receiving, and order picking.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a warehouse and production facility with high expectations for production numbers and efficiency. The team consists of 150-160 full‑time employees. The dress code includes jeans, a t‑shirt, steel‑toed shoes, and personal protective equipment provided by the employer. Shifts are available in three rotations: 1st shift from 6am to 2pm, 2nd shift from 2pm to 10pm, and 3rd shift from 10pm to 6am.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.20 - $20.20/hr.
