Position: CNC Lathe Machinist (Mill Turn)

Job Summary

KMG Tool & Machine is seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Lathe Machinist (Mill Turn) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience in operating CNC Lathe machines. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce high-quality components according to specifications. The CNC Machinist will work closely with other team members to ensure that production goals are met efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities
  • Conversation program, set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes and mills, to manufacture a variety of short parts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
  • Make machine adjustments as necessary.
  • Program machines.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure product specifications are met.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they arise during production.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve machining processes and enhance product quality. Must also work well as an individual.
  • Maintain product quality.
  • Suggest resolutions to quality issues or concerns
  • Be willing and open to adapting to multiple jobs
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist in an aerospace environment, required
  • Experience with Mazak machines, preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints accurately and follow detailed instructions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management.
  • Communicate effectively with team members.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices in the workplace.
