1st Shift Material Handler-Plant

Job Summary

Central Plains Steel, a division of Feralloy, is seeking dependable Material Handlers to support daily warehouse operations, including material movement, order fulfillment, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Stand or Sit (stationary position), walk (move, traverse), use hand/fingers to handle or feel (operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, position), climb (stairs/ladders) or balance (ascend/descend, work atop, traverse), stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl (position self, move), talk/hear (communicate, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself, exchange information), see (detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, estimate, assess), pushing or pulling, reaching, repetitive motion.

Medium/Heavy work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

• Pull and prepare orders based on work instructions
• Move, organize, and stage materials for processing or shipment
• Operate forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment
• Perform basic quality checks and ensure proper material tagging
• Load and unload trucks safely
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace

• Valid driver’s license
• 0–5 years of warehouse or related experience
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Pay: $17–$20/hr (DOE)

• Warehouse/material handling experience
• High School Diploma or GED
