Parts Racker - 2nd Shift
Valence Surface Technologies is a full-service surface finishing company specializing in the commercial aerospace, defense, space and satellite industries. With ten strategically located sites across the United States, Valence provides a start to finish solution from NDT and chemical processing, to paint and sub-assembly.
Position Summary:
Responsible for preparing parts for the production process and assisting the operator as needed
Responsibilities:
- Determine priority of jobs to begin preparing for processing
- Select appropriate racking procedure according to size, shape and number of objects to be processed
- Wire or clip objects to rack or hoist for processing
- Remove parts from rack or bar after processing
- Completes paperwork as required by company and processing guidelines
- Ensure proper PPE is worn and safety guidelines are followed
- Maintain a clean working area at all times by disposing of any unnecessary trash or wires
- Ensure all hazardous waste material is disposed of correctly
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in masking or a related field, preferably in the aerospace industry
- Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks
Export Compliance Requirement:
This position requires access to EAR or ITAR controlled technologies. Applicants are required to be eligible for employment under U.S. export control laws and must meet the requirement of being a "U.S. Person".
