Valence Surface Technologies is a full-service surface finishing company specializing in the commercial aerospace, defense, space and satellite industries. With ten strategically located sites across the United States, Valence provides a start to finish solution from NDT and chemical processing, to paint and sub-assembly.
Responsibilities- Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas as required.
- Apply primers, paints, and coatings to aircraft surfaces using spray guns, brushes, and other tools.
- Ensure the proper mixing and application of paint materials to achieve desired finish and durability.
- Inspect painted surfaces for quality and make necessary touch-ups or corrections.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of paint usage and inventory.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in painting or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a painter, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- Knowledge of various paint types, application techniques, and surface preparation methods.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
