Machine Operator - CNC - Mach

Summary

Set up and operate conventional, special purpose, and multi‑axis CNC machines to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts to customer specifications.

• Change out and set up tools
• Operate multi‑axis machines
• Dimensionally check parts (up to CMM)
• Read programs and make minor speeds and feeds program changes
• Verify tool lengths and cutter run outs
• Troubleshoot jobs
• Communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all contacts
• Accept and adapt easily to change
• Ensure that all activities are consistent with Company Mission
• Operate job‑related equipment with or without an accommodation
• Meet physical demands of the job with or without an accommodation
• Other duties as assigned

• Technical school certification preferred; high school diploma or GED required
• 1+ year experience
• Proficient using precision measurement tools, GD&T, and shop math
• Blueprint reading
• Understand and interpret customer specifications
• Familiar with G and M programming codes
• Exhibits dependability, including following instructions, responding to supervisors' direction, and taking responsibility for own actions
• Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed, and perform work independently without being prompted
• Ability to manage competing priorities, prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently, and work within deadlines
• Read, write, and speak English fluently
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR requirement)
