About the JobThe Cleanroom Coordinator prepares and controls individual pharmaceutical compounds based on prescriptions, ensuring the patient receives the correct medication.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule weekly production based on personnel, qualifications, components, storage requirements and compounding/aseptic capacities.
- Recreate schedules when changes occur due to personnel, equipment, inventory, cleanroom status or additional batches requested by the production planner.
- Manage the vial wash weekly production schedule for various vial and stopper sizes for WEST and EAST facilities.
- Troubleshoot issues during shut‑downs, cleanroom power outages, early termination batches, component/API issues and processing PPOs for semi‑finished goods used in finished goods.
- Create, estimate, release, start, picklist, route card, report as finished, end and edit PPOs based on production schedules.
- Work with QA for batch issuance, rescheduling and cancellation of PPOs, including early termination paperwork.
- Complete daily picking of components for production batches and review required components and equipment for future production.
- Create transfer orders to and from FSS to support production and coordinate with other departments for ordering and releasing production components.
- Move components back to the warehouse upon completion of production.
- Assist with collecting data and writing production NOEs and deviations.
- Assist technicians and QA in correcting documentation.
- Unload carts, organize, and clean the warehouse.
- Physically transfer components when needed, using personal vehicle or van.
- Perform cycle counting in the warehouse, create counting journals, adjust inventory and scrap expired or waste components.
- Assist outside contractors with work orders, entry into the cleanroom and wipe‑downs.
- Assist with cleanroom equipment needs such as shipping powder samples, generators, broken beakers, defective components and new equipment.
- Participate in cleanroom technician interviews.
- Work with the area manager on process improvement projects.
- Support organization during planned and unplanned shut‑downs.
- Be available from home to coordinate support and cleanroom situations.
- Assist with wipe‑downs when needed.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician with expertise in compounding.
- Expertise in either Sterile or Nuclear compounding.
- Obtained internal certificates for all active SOPs.
- Understanding of contamination control risks.
