- Program various CNC (computerized numerical control) manufacturing equipment for tasks such as 3 and 5 axis cutting, CNC Lathe and router programming to form or shape manufactured parts from raw materials.
- Uses CAD/CAM programming system to convert engineering drawing and change orders into machine G Code format.
- Implement changes to machine programs and enter new specifications; program future jobs while machines are operating and ensure the current revision level is accurate.
- Completes all necessary documentation and follows up as required in a timely, orderly manner.
- Responsible for a variety of tasks involving inspecting and evaluating production parts to blueprint specifications.
- May design, build, and repair a broad variety of basic mechanical and/or specialty equipment, jigs, and fixtures.
- May perform preventive maintenance responsibilities for assigned departmental equipment/machinery, including corrective maintenance as required.
- 10+ years of CAD/CAM programming experience in a manufacturing environment; ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Requires great attention to detail and the ability to read drawings and specifications (GDT).
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, basic repair, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of safe working practices.
- Ability to understand and interpret basic written technical information.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
