Responsibilities
- Program various CNC (computerized numerical control) manufacturing equipment for tasks such as 3- and 5-axis cutting, CNC Lathe and router programming to form or shape manufactured parts from raw materials.
- Uses CAD/CAM programming system to convert engineering drawings and change orders into machine G‑Code format.
- Implement changes to machine programs and enter new specifications. Program future jobs while machines are operating and ensure the current revision level is accurate.
- Completes all necessary documentation and follow‑up as required in a timely, orderly manner.
- Responsible for a variety of tasks involving inspection and evaluation of production parts against blueprint specification.
- May design, build and repair a broad variety of basic mechanical and/or specialty equipment, jigs and fixtures.
- May perform preventive maintenance responsibilities for assigned departmental equipment/machinery to include corrective maintenance as required.
