Function in the JobMedium/Heavy work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Job FunctionESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurate cutting of all shear orders per the work order instructions; verify shear or rem dimensions and specs against shop order and cut plan prior to cutting.
- Maintain highest quality procedures; to include QC stamp and tag tracing.
- Marking all cut parts per work order and customer requirements.
- Initial packing of parts off the shear.
- Marking all rems accurately and maintaining tractability at all times; responsible for the proper and safe storage of rems.
- Responsible for routine daily maintenance of the shear; maintain equipment log sheet and record the hours of operation.
- Responsible for maintaining a hazard free and clean work area.
- Follows all company safety and quality policies and procedures. Participates in TQM and SPC meetings.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
LANGUAGESKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
MATHEMATICALSKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
REASONING ABILITY:Carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
CERTIFICATES:Forklift Certification, Preferred
OTHER ABILITIES:Ability to work irregular hours
