JOB SUMMARY:
Performs a number of duties to trim, fill, sand and bond to prepare a variety of standard composite parts in accordance with shop orders, oral and written instructions and blueprints.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures composite assemblies meet bonding cure specifications. Hand trim composite panels ensuring they meet quality requirements and engineering dimensions. Prepares composite surfaces by filling and sanding to a smooth surface. Uses small hand tools, sanders, drills, routers, adhesive applicators, calipers, gauges and other measuring instruments. Responsible only for own work. Performs other related duties as required.
EDUCATION:
Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level Work Keys certification and Textron Aviation's blueprint reading class is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
6+ months of composites experience required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Somewhat disagreeable working conditions with exposure to dust, noise, heat, fumes and liquids. Safety shoes and protective clothing could be required.
