Electrical Wire Harness Technician
This role focuses on assembling, reworking, and testing electrical wire harnesses for aircraft components. You will interpret work orders and technical documentation, perform hands-on electrical assembly and repairs, and ensure that all harnesses meet quality and safety standards while maintaining accurate documentation.
Responsibilities- Read and interpret work orders, diagrams, form boards, and wire lists to determine required materials and the proper sequence of assembly.
- Assemble and rework wire harnesses for aircraft components according to specifications and quality standards.
- Rework connectors, back shells, wire terminations, splices, split rings, lugs, and other components built into wire harnesses.
- Wrap and tie wires neatly and securely to meet design and safety requirements.
- Route wires correctly within harness assemblies, ensuring proper organization and adherence to routing guidelines.
- Change routing and breakouts as needed to accommodate design revisions or repair needs.
- Perform electrical tests on wire harnesses to verify functionality, continuity, and compliance with specifications.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues within wire harness assemblies using appropriate tools and methods.
- Complete all associated paperwork accurately, including test records, assembly documentation, and repair reports.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and maintain high quality standards.
- At least 1 year of aircraft electrical experience, specifically working with wire harnesses and aircraft components.
- Hands-on experience with wire harness assembly, repair, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, diagrams, form boards, and wire lists.
- Proficiency in reworking connectors, back shells, wire terminations, splices, split rings, and lugs.
- Experience performing electrical tests on wire harnesses and related components.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise assembly instructions.
- Capability to complete associated paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with aircraft components in a production or maintenance environment.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and applying technical documentation to electrical assembly work.
- Ability to route wires and modify routing and breakouts based on design or repair requirements.
- Comfort working in a shift-based environment, including 1st and 3rd shift schedules.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain a clean and efficient work area.

WorkEnvironment
You will work as part of a team of approximately 15–20 employees in a production environment focused on aircraft electrical wire harnesses. Candidates must be available to work both 1st and 3rd shift schedules. The 3rd shift hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. (shift begins Sunday night), and Friday from 9:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. The dress code consists of jeans, a work shirt, and closed-toed shoes, suitable for a hands-on, shop-floor environment where attention to safety and adherence to procedures are essential.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
