Job Title:Touch Up Painter
Employee Type:Full Time, Hourly
Reports to:Processing Manager
Job Location: Wichita, KS, USA
Shift Hours: 2nd Shift; 2:00pm - 10:30pm, Monday
- Friday
Pay Rate:$16.00 - $18.00, dependent upon relative experience
Shift Differential:$0.75/hr in addition to hourly rate
Experience:1+ year experience preferred with application of primer, fuel cell and top coat
Job Duties:
- Must be able to thoroughly follow instructions and be attentive to details
- Touch up primers and top coats to Mil specs on multiple surface types
- Mask and de-mask parts as required
- Prep parts prior to painting including masking, sanding, and cleaning
- Complete work flow documentation thoroughly and properly
- Inspect results of paint applied
- Inspection:
Knowledge of the expected response and appearance of the material being painted - Clean and repair paint equipment and keep work area organized
- Wear proper safety equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures at all times
- Keep work area clean
- Assist other departments as necessary
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must have 1+ year experience with application of primer, fuel cell and top coat, preferred
- Previous experience in aerospace manufacturing environment, preferred
- Must be self-motivated and produce quality work
- Dependable, team-oriented, and good communication skills
- Must be self-motivated and produce quality work
- Excellent attendance and positive attitude is required
- Team player and willing to learn new skills
Working Conditions:
- Some overtime may be required
- Ability to regularly and frequently lift 25 pounds
- Will be exposed to constant activity that requires intermittent standing, bending, crouching, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting, moving, carrying light and heavy loads, and climbing stairs and ladders. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate small power tools and other equipment
