We are hiring an experienced CNC Machinist to set up, adjust, and operate CNC machines including lathes, mills, and other machine tools. This role requires strong blueprint reading, measuring instrument usage, attention to detail, and the ability to produce parts accurately according to work order quantities and specifications.
Responsibilities:- Monitor feed and speed of machines during the machining process
- Set up, adjust, and operate CNC lathes, mills, and other machine tools
- Machine parts to required specifications and tolerances
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, charts, and engineering information
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematics and precision measuring instruments
- Use micrometers, calipers, scales, dial indicators, and related inspection tools
- Measure, examine, and test completed parts to ensure conformance to specifications
- Accurately produce parts and maintain counts to match work order quantities
- Maintain machine tools and equipment through regular cleaning and lubrication
- Operate forklifts when required, after proper training and certification
- Maintain housekeeping in designated machine shop areas
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE
- Work effectively within established time guidelines
- Support team goals and perform other duties as assigned
- 5+ years of CNC machining experience
- Experience setting up, adjusting, and operating CNC lathes, mills, or related machine tools
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and engineering information
- Experience using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, scales, and dial indicators
- Ability to calculate dimensions, tolerances, and decimal/fractional equivalents
- HS Diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 75+ pounds
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
- Willingness to work overtime when needed
- Forklift experience or willingness to obtain certification
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized with a desire to continually improve
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong safety mindset
- Experience working in a team-oriented machine shop environment
