CNC Programmer
This role programs CNC machines using CAD/CAM software to produce precision components from a variety of materials. You will create, verify, and optimize CNC programs, selecting appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds to meet engineering specifications and quality standards.
Responsibilities- Use CAD/CAM software to create CNC programs and instructions for a variety of material types.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, work holding methods, and machine parameters such as speeds and feeds for each job.
- Verify CNC code against engineering models to ensure dimensional accuracy and conformance to specifications.
- Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, and design data to determine the correct machining strategy.
- Optimize tool paths and machining processes to improve efficiency, part quality, and machine utilization.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve programming or machining issues and support continuous improvement.
- At least 2 years of CNC programming experience with Catia V5.
- Proficiency in CNC programming using CAD/CAM software.
- Ability to interpret and analyze job orders, engineering drawings, blueprints, and design data.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, including tool selection, work holding, and cutting parameters.
- Attention to detail and accuracy when verifying CNC code against engineering models.
- Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to adjust programs to meet quality and productivity requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience programming for a variety of material types and machining operations.
- Familiarity with best practices in tooling, fixture design, and machining strategies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.

Work EnvironmentThis is a first-shift position, working Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You work in a production and machining environment with CNC equipment and CAD/CAM systems, collaborating closely with engineering and shop-floor personnel. The role involves time at a computer for programming as well as time on the shop floor verifying programs and supporting machine setup.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Wichita, KS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $95000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
