Position Summary

Maynard Inc. is seeking a
technical Purchasing & Planning Agent
to support
aerospace manufacturing operations
through
procurement, production planning, and routing control
. This role is responsible for ensuring
material availability, supplier performance, and manufacturing process integrity
in compliance with
customer specifications, quality standards, and production schedules
.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute
    procurement and supply chain activities
    including
    RFQs, vendor selection, and purchase order management
  • Analyze
    supplier quotes
    for
    cost, lead time, and technical compliance
    with
    drawings and specifications
  • Manage
    open purchase orders
    ,
    delivery schedules
    , and
    supplier performance metrics (OTD, quality)
  • Develop and maintain
    manufacturing routings and work instructions
    for
    new and sustaining aerospace products
  • Ensure
    configuration control
    and implement
    engineering changes (ECOs/ECNs)within ERP systems
  • Interpret
    blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications
    to validate
    process capability and requirements
  • Coordinate with
    Engineering, Quality, Production Control, and Contracts
    to resolve
    non-conformances and material shortages
  • Support
    MRB, rework routing, and deviation processes
    as required
  • Monitor
    inventory, demand signals, and production schedules
    to prevent line stoppages
  • Maintain accurate data in
    ERP/MRP systems (Ability 585 preferred)and generate
    planning and procurement reports

Qualifications

  • Experience in
    aerospace manufacturing, production planning, or supply chain
  • Strong understanding of
    MRP/ERP systems
    ,
    BOMs, routings, and inventory control
  • Ability to read and interpret
    engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications
  • Knowledge of
    configuration management and change control processes
  • Familiarity with
    quality systems (AS9100), traceability, and compliance requirements
  • Advanced skills in
    Microsoft Excel
    (data analysis, reporting)
  • Strong
    analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work in a
    fast-paced, high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma required;
    Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
    in
    Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business
    preferred
  • Experience with
    configuration control, ECO/ECN processes, or production control
    strongly preferred
  • Hybrid office/shop floor environment
  • Ability to lift up to
    50 lbs
    and support
    shop floor operations
