Job SummaryResponsibilities include set up and operation of various tools and equipment to create, modify, or repair precision parts. Monitors the machinery and conducts regular quality checks to ensure theyare running properly and that the parts are being produced according to specifications.
Essential FunctionsMachines and fabricates components by preparing and operatingmachine. Works from complex drawings, prototype sketches, electronic files and/or verbal instructions. Responsible for production of high precision parts and performs the machine setups required to produce parts. Loads parts in machine, cycles machine,and detects malfunctions in machine operations such as worn ordamaged cutting tools. May troubleshoot issues with equipment, new programs, and/or products.
RequiredEducation and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent by hire date
- One (1) year of experience as a CNC machinist;
Every 30 hoursof related college coursework and/or technical training can be substituted for one (1) year of experience.

Ability to inspect and/or surveilmaterials, equipment, reports, and/or incidents and identify anyerrors, needs and/or determining factors. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information. Ability to move,transport, and/or deliver items, supplies, or equipment. Ability to use tools, equipment, and technology necessary to do the job.
This includes dexterity in instrument manipulation. Ability to ascendand descend ladders and/or stairs. Ability to remain in astationary position.
