Job Title
This role is at Spirit Aero Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, at Spirit's Defense Business Unit ("Spirit Defense"). Spirit Defense is an independent supplier to the defense and space marketplace. Position ResponsibilitiesWork within a team and independently to build composite structure details and assemblies using carbon and other composite materials
Work to instructions from drawings, documents, process specifications, quality control requirements, and established processes and procedures, to assure the timely delivery of quality products to the customer
Perform multi-tasking and multi-machine operation where applicable
Work on platforms up to ten feet above the ground
Work in confined spaces
Work over head
Work within a team environment
Proficient use of technology i.e. computer, phones, laser projection, digital vacuum gauges
Use hand pressure and small tools to form and contour lay-up
Ability to use tools such as scissors, knives, pushing tools, markers, and other small tools
Maintain a clean working environment and clean as you go
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)All applicants must be willing and able to work any shift, including alternative work weeks. Majority of new hires will be hired on 2nd shift.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).
Special Program Access (for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $22.52/hour, with potential to earn up to $37.40/hour in accordance with the terms of the relevant collective bargaining agreement.
