Advanced Coil Machine Setup Operator, Multiple Shifts
We are seeking an Advanced Coil Machine Setup Operator for the 1st shift at our manufacturing facility in Wichita, United States. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the efficient setup, operation, and monitoring of advanced coil machines to ensure high-quality production output.
- Set up, operate, and maintain advanced coil machines according to specifications and production schedules
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to configure machines for specific production runs
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain optimal efficiency and quality
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues as needed
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines
- Maintain accurate records of machine operations, production output, and quality control checks
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes
Proven experience in coil machine operation and setup, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Strong technical knowledge of coil machinery and related manufacturing processes
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity
Basic computer skills for operating computerized machinery and maintaining digital records
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machine operation is preferred
Experience with specific coil machine brands or models is a plus
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and quality control processes is desirable
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate with colleagues across departments
