5 Axis CNC Machinist/Operator
We are seeking skilled 5 Axis CNC Machinists/Operators to join our team, with openings available on all shifts including 3, 4, and 5 axis machinists. As a CNC Machinist/Operator, you will set up and operate a variety of 5 & 3 axis machines, cutters, and work holding tools to produce precision parts. This includes reading and understanding the function of precision instruments to verify product conformance.
Responsibilities- Calculate dimensions or tolerances using instruments such as micrometers or calipers and portable CMM or FARO.
- Machine parts to specifications using 5 & 3 axis machines.
- Set up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine tools used to perform precision machining operations.
- Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines per set up documentation.
- Measure, examine, or test completed parts to check for defects and ensure conformance to customer using precision instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and faro arms.
- Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
- Maintain machine tools in proper operational condition.
- Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, or engineering information to determine product conformance.
- Operate equipment to verify operational efficiency.
- Diagnose machine tool malfunctions to determine need for adjustments or repairs.
- Confirm with engineering, supervisory, or inspection personnel to verify technical information.
- Fit and assemble fixtures and cutters to make or repair customer products.
- Dispose of scrap or waste material in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
- Separate scrap waste and related materials for reuse, recycling, or disposal.
- Evaluate machining procedures and recommend changes or modifications for improved efficiency or adaptability per Kaizen process.

Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in handling and moving objects such as assembling electromechanical or hydraulic systems.
- Experience in maintaining mechanical equipment.
- Proficiency with tools and technology including boring bars, cutters, calipers, micrometers, and various gauges.
- Familiarity with analytical software, Verisurf Inspection Software, and industrial control software.
- Experience with CNC programming including HAAS, Fanuc, and Siemens controls.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience running 3, 4, and 5 axis numerical control machines preferred.
- Mazak Machin Experience and Haas Mill Machine Experience.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment is a machine shop and sub-assembly setting for aerospace, military projects, and more. Employees can expect to work on 2nd or 3rd shifts with specific hours. All new employees will go through 6-8 weeks of training to learn our processes before moving to their designated shifts. The dress code is typical of a manufacturing setting, and the work involves using various technological tools and software.
JobType & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Wichita, KS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $52000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
