Your ImpactAs a CNC Machinist, you'll play a key role in manufacturing precision aircraft components that meet exact engineering specifications. Your expertise will ensure parts are produced accurately, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, directly supporting the safety and performance of world-class aircraft.
What You'll Do Day-to-Day Responsibilities- Adhere to all general work requirements, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Verify material types, quantities, and prior inspection approvals before beginning work.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and shop documentation.
- Assist with machining procedure planning and machine setup activities.
- Set up and verify cutting tools according to machine requirements.
- Perform a variety of machining operations, including:
- Boring
- Drilling
- Milling
- Tapping
- Threading
- Machine raw materials into finished parts while maintaining precise tolerances and dimensions.
- Monitor spindle speeds, tool wear, and feed rates throughout the machining process.
- Make equipment, tooling, and process adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Utilize hand tools to finish machined components.
- Inspect completed parts and verify compliance with engineering specifications.
- Maintain machine documentation, shop aids, blueprints, and related records.
- Minimum of 3 years of diversified machine shop experience and/or equivalent technical training or coursework in machining or a related field.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of machining processes and manufacturing best practices.
- Ability to calculate dimensional information and machining requirements accurately.
- Experience operating precision measurement instruments, including:
- Micrometers
- Calipers
- Dial indicators
- Ability to use simple and compound sine tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- CNC machining experience within aerospace, aviation, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience working with tight-tolerance precision components.
- Advanced knowledge of machine setup, tooling, and process optimization.
- Technical certifications or additional machining-related education.

$33.00 to $35.00 per hour
