About the Role: You will be tasked with servicing Boeing 787 and Airbus A350 aircraft components. Operating within an FAA-certified facility, you will execute repairs by strictly adhering to structural repair manuals, component maintenance guides, and official manufacturer or airline documentation. Your daily duties involve collaborating with your team to conduct maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on a diverse range of composite, fiberglass, acrylic, and metallic parts.

To ensure our customers receive high-quality products on schedule, you will utilize established procedures, technical drawings, and process specifications. You will also be expected to manage multiple tasks and operate various machinery simultaneously. Your technical proficiency will be essential as you fabricate, rework, and repair non-metallic assemblies, utilizing your deep understanding of bonding techniques and material characteristics. You will execute repairs that align with engineering goals by interpreting electronic work instructions, model-based definitions, and MRB dispositions.

Furthermore, you will confirm part dimensions using precision electronic and mechanical instruments, with the potential to conduct first article inspections. You must be capable of capturing and validating measurement data to satisfy top-level engineering requirements.

Core Responsibilities:

• Keep all necessary personal certifications current and valid.
• Conduct comprehensive inspections, including the initial review of fabricated or procured components to ensure quality standards are met.
• Identify and formally record any non-conforming conditions to facilitate Material Review Board evaluations.
• Help maintain operational excellence by performing process surveillance to ensure strict adherence to all standards.
• Ensure accurate documentation by preparing and updating quality records.
• Utilize CAD/CAM software or similar digital tools to support manufacturing, fabrication, and rework processes according to engineering configurations.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated proficiency in septum core replacement, lay-up, and taper sanding techniques.
• Ideally, you possess five or more years of hands-on experience in the field of composite repair.
• Candidates will be required to demonstrate their technical skills through a practical assessment during the training phase.
• The selection process includes an initial phone interview.
• While the role may begin on the first shift, you should be prepared for a transition to the second shift.
• You must be physically capable of standing and performing manual labor for the duration of your shift.
• Flexibility to work weekends and overtime hours is required as business needs dictate.
