Tooling Front Line Leader

This role is at Spirit Aero Systems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit's Commercial Business Units ( Spirit Commercial ). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing's three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial's core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.

Position Responsibilities:

• Ensure employees are working safely and following all applicable rules, policies and procedures.
• Ensure attendance standards are met and time keeping is accurate.
• Ensure all employees have the tools and skills to be productive tool makers.
• Ensure the safety of all employees and the housekeeping of the assigned areas.
• Communicate cross-functionally with all suppliers, customers and needed organizations to ensure all commitments are met.
• Understand and work within the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Responsible for effective and timely communication with employees, peers and upper management.
• Encourage and participate in process and quality improvements.
• Ensure all employee training and certifications are kept up to date.

• Ability and desire to work a 2nd Shift or 3rd Shift position
• 5+ years of tooling or related manufacturing experience either in a hands-on or a leadership role
• 5 + years of required skills in related manufacturing environments (such as those listed below as preferred).

• 5+ years’ experience Tooling or related manufacturing experience ie:
  Fabrication/Rework/Support Shops including Machine Fab, Jig Fab, Tool and Die and Composite Tooling
• Basic Computing Skills.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range: $77,
