Community Outreach Coordinator
Location:
Wichita, Kansas Job Type: Full-time Early morning meetings, on-call evenings for events and volunteer calls
Saturday, events throughout the year, on-call for volunteers
- Sunday, HIA church days throughout the year, Sunday night program meeting from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm, minimum attendance twice a month
Job Brief:
The Community Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for sourcing, establishing, and maintaining lasting relationships within the community to organize events, raise funding, and secure volunteering for the sober recovery program. They will ensure a streamlined donor/volunteer engagement process is experienced for those engaging with the organization.

Maintain a high level of relationship accountability of the organization's current donor portfolio.
Research new financial donor organizations, businesses, and individuals.
Prepare and implement a plan for cultivating and soliciting a portfolio of new and existing donors in local city to provide high-level touchpoints that cater to donors while reinforcing the organization's impact.
Explore potential new prospect opportunities in partnership with the leadership team and through making new connections with philanthropy, business, and foundation networks.
Conduct virtual and in-person visits and other high-level interactions with donors and prospects, documenting actions
Participate actively in donor strategy meetings
Collaborate with internal and external partners on donor materials.
Lead solicitation efforts with communication to new and existing donors.
Develop and implement events to engage donors in new ways.
Host several fundraiser events yearly including invites, logging data in the event database, speaking at events, raising funding, and developing relationships with attendees.
Collaborate with events teams, board members, leadership team, and volunteer groups to implement donor cultivation and stewardship events when appropriate; identify, recruit, and support hosts for these events.
Foster a collaborative and enjoyable work environment.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records, interactions, and communications in the CRM database.
Engage in fundraising activities/events to achieve goals set by the Executive Team, including prospecting, cultivation, and stewardship of donors
Facilitate new and ongoing partnerships and opportunities with churches and other agencies
Create new volunteer opportunities and work with individuals to match their skills and talents with relevant tasks.
Organize Sunday night meetings, including booking speakers, meals, set-up, tear-down, expressing gratitude, and following up.
Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, mail, and packages.
Properly thank all volunteers and donors.
Ability to effectively communicate and establish rapport with multiple teams and modes of communication across locations to suit differing audiences.
Assist in coordinating program residents for volunteering and recruiting activities.
Post updates and information on social media.
Requirements:
