Position: Travel Registered Nurse - PACU (RN) - Wichita, KS

As a Registered Nurse specializing in PACU, you'll gain exposure to a blend of pre-op and recovery practices, working side-by-side with seasoned professionals utilizing the latest technology such as Pyxis, GE MACVU EKG machines, and Meditech EMR. Enhance your clinical skills as you care for a diverse surgical patient population, including Urology, GYN, SDS, and other outpatient procedures. This travel assignment is your gateway to learning innovative patient care strategies and expanding your experience to include phase 2 recovery and pre-op environments.

Schedule:

• 5A - 5P shifts
• No overnight shifts
• 30-minute on-call response time

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Prior phase 2 recovery experience
• Strong knowledge of pre-op and post-op nursing workflows

Preferred Experience:

• Hands-on pre-op experience or a demonstrated ability to support pre-op processes

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage care for pre-operative and phase 2 recovery patients
• Perform pre-op prep for surgery, endoscopy, cath lab, EP, and more
• Administer infusions, blood transfusions, and outpatient EKGs
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
