Job Description

The Director of Nursing (DON) oversees the administration and management of nursing services to residents in accordance with physician orders and the needs of residents. The DON provides 24‑hour supervision of nursing services, directs the nursing department to maintain quality standards of care, and assumes responsibility for center operations in the absence of the Administrator.

You will be responsible for the administration and management of nursing services to residents in accordance with orders of the physicians and the total needs of the residents. You will supervise nursing services 24 hours a day, direct the nursing department to maintain quality standards of care, and assume responsibility for center operations when the Administrator is absent.

• A fire and passion for working with seniors
• A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state in which you are practicing
• Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school preferred
• Prior experience in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting required
• Two years of experience in a nurse supervisory role required
• Professional image in both appearance and behavior
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
