Travel RN – Medical/Surgical

Wichita, Kansas

Contract | Travel | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 13-Week Assignment

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Medical Trauma unit within an acute care inpatient setting
• Manage a patient assignment of 6–7 patients per shift, delivering safe and compassionate nursing care
• Utilize and document in Meditech EMR for all patient care activities
• Perform and assist with procedures including wound vac management, NG tube care, and chest tube monitoring
• Support pre- and post-operative inpatient care for patients undergoing general surgical procedures such as hernia repair, colon resection, and thyroidectomy
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, LPNs, patient care technicians, and unit clerks

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care Medical/Surgical hospital experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Familiarity with pre- and post-operative inpatient care
• Experience with wound care management
• Experience managing central lines including PICC lines, ports, and CVCs
