Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Operating Room RN with Endoscopy experience for travel assignment. This role involves supporting a small, dynamic team in a fast-paced surgical environment, primarily focusing on urology and gynecology procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care to surgical patients in the OR and Endoscopy units.
• Administer medications, monitor patient vitals, and ensure patient safety throughout procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons and staff to prepare the OR, maintain sterile techniques, and support instrument processing.
• Document patient information, surgical procedures, and post-operative care in Meditech EMR system.
• Participate in on-call rotations, including weekday and weekend shifts, to ensure round-the-clock coverage.
• Assist with implementing new equipment and technology to improve surgical workflows and patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with a minimum of 1-year acute care OR experience.
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Endoscopy RN experience is required; preference for candidates with Robotics, Urology, or Orthopedics background.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork and adaptability in a high-pressure environment.
• Ability to handle fast-paced workflows and maintain attention to detail under stress.
