Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU / Step-Down)

Wichita, Kansas

Contract | Travel | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting with a 1:4 patient ratio
• Perform cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation for assigned patients
• Manage medication administration and respiratory support, including BiPAP/CPAP and heated high-flow therapy
• Deliver post-surgical care and administer blood transfusions as ordered
• Document patient assessments and care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including RNs and PCTs to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes

• Active RN license in good standing (compact or Kansas state license)
• Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital PCU experience
• Current BLS and ACLS (ALS) certifications
• Current NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Demonstrated proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Experience in a leadership or relief charge nurse role
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR

• Work alongside an experienced, team-oriented staff in a well-equipped PCU utilizing current technology including EKG, BiPAP/CPAP, heated high-flow, and cardiac respiratory monitoring equipment
