Registered Nurse - Telemetry; RN in Wichita, KS

Step into a fast-paced Telemetry environment and provide excellent care as a Registered Nurse on a skilled team. This position supports a 37-bed unit specializing in cardiac and telemetry care, utilizing advanced equipment such as PCA pumps, IV pumps, and chest tube management. The EMR system in use is Meditech, helping streamline your workflow. Work closely with a dedicated night shift staff comprised of 8 RNs and 3 Patient Care Techs, caring for patients with an estimated ratio of 1:6—lowered to 1:4 for those recovering from Heart Catheterization procedures, ensuring safety and quality outcomes.

• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• Current RN license in good standing
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong independent judgement and critical thinking skills
• Positive, engaged demeanor
• Effective communication and adaptability to a dynamic, high-acuity unit

• Familiarity with central line procedures, administration of medication drips, and post-Heart Cath care
• Experience in bubble studies or similar diagnostic cardiac procedures

• Deliver direct, patient-centered care on the telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to acute patient changes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for optimal outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Meditech EMR
