Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with department requirements, consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

• Assesses patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled and/or as needed, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Assesses patient environment for any safety risks and/or non-compliance with regulatory standards.
• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
• Assesses patient condition for signs and symptoms of abuse or neglect.
• Reports any indications of abuse or neglect to medical provider(s), nurse leader, and/or appropriate agency.
• Prepares patient for cardiac catheterization, monitors patient during cath, and assists patient during recovery.
• Observes patient and machine during procedure and reports unusual occurrences and records patient’s condition.
• Maintains images and operates image vault and hemodynamic server.
• Observes proper radiation safety on all exams.
• Assists with cardiovascular data mining and submission.
• Serves as an example of professional nursing practice and promotes pride in nursing for the organization, the community, and the health care industry.
• Demonstrates caring and empathy in all interactions and advocates for patient- and family-centered approach in all decisions and actions.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Registered Nurse Diploma
• No Travel Required
