American Traveler is hiring a Pre-Op RN for a 13-week assignment requiring at least 1 year of recent acute care pre-op hospital experience and BLS/ACLS certification.

• Work in the Pre-Op Holding / ASU unit of a hospital setting
• Unit consists of 9 pre-op beds and 5 Phase 2 recovery beds
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Care for Phase 2 recovery patients including Urology, GYN, and other same-day surgery (SDS) patients
• Provide pre-op care for Surgery, Endo, Cath Lab, EP, CT patients, outpatient infusions, outpatient EKGs, blocks, and blood transfusions
• Uses Pyxis, GE MACVU EKG machine, Doppler, patient scale, and bladder scanner equipment
• Meditech EMR system used
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• On-call responsibilities include two 10-hour weekend shifts every 8-9 weekends with a 30-minute response time

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care Pre-Op RN hospital experience required
• Prior Meditech experience preferred
• Some pre-op experience or ability to assist pre-op staff preferred
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Prioritize patient experience and maintain strong communication with staff and providers
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
