Travel RN
- Pre-Op - 7A - 7P
- Wichita, KS
This is a 13-week contract position.
Shift: 7A - 7P
The RN in the Pre-Op unit will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care for individuals undergoing pre-operative procedures. The unit includes 9 Pre-op beds and 5 Phase 2 recovery beds, with a focus on enhancing patient experience and ensuring effective communication with both staff and providers.
Responsibilities:
- Perform assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Conduct Phase 2 recoveries for Urology, GYN, and other Same Day Surgery patients.
- Utilize Meditech for patient documentation and management.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum 1-year current acute care Pre-Op RN hospital experience.
- BLS & ACLS certification required.
- Prior Meditech experience preferred.
- Some pre-op experience is a plus.
