Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Emergency Room Nurse

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced hospital emergency department. Deliver timely interventions, coordinate patient care, and ensure compliance with unit policies to support optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess incoming patients to determine acuity and prioritize care needs.
• Administer medications, perform IV starts, and conduct sedations as required.
• Document patient information and procedures accurately within the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families on treatments, procedures, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control and hospital protocols.

Qualifications:

• Current valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years' recent ED experience.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required; TNCC and NIH certifications preferred.
• Experience with Meditech electronic health record system is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt quickly to evolving situations.
