Travel Registered Nurse specializing in Pre-Operative Care is sought for a facility located in Wichita, Kansas. Pre-Operative Registered Nurse (Travel) - Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week

Days shift only - Required Qualifications:
Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), minimum 1 year current acute care Pre-Operative Nursing experience, valid license to practice in Kansas, and at least 1 year of experience in a hospital setting at the time of application. - Preferred Qualifications:
Some preoperative experience or ability to assist preoperative staff, prior Meditech electronic health record experience. - Type of Staff:
Full Time RN staff (8 positions, with 2 vacancies), part-time, and PRN RN staff. - Unit Details:
- 9 preoperative beds and 5 Phase 2 recovery beds
- Staff includes 8 full-time RNs, 2 part-time RNs, 4 PRN RNs, and 1 unit health unit coordinator
- Patient Ratios: 1:3
- Equipment used includes Pyxis, GE MACVU EKG machine, Doppler, patient scale, bladder scanner
- Procedures performed include Phase 2 recoveries for Urology and GYN patients, outpatient infusions, outpatient EKGs, blood transfusions, and various outpatient procedures.
- Additional Information:
- The unit maintains high standards for patient experience, with a focus on communication and team collaboration.
- On-call requirements include two 10-hour weekend shifts every 8-9 weekends with a 30-minute response time.
- The environment features new equipment and experienced staff, making it an attractive assignment for dedicated Pre-Operative RNs.
