Job Summary And QualificationsThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance
What you will do in this role:- Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled and/or as needed, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Assess patient environment for any safety risks and/or non-compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
- Prepare postpartum patients and newborns for routine assessments.
- Assist with recovery and bonding, and supports early breastfeeding and newborn care practices.
- Observe maternal and neonatal status, including vital signs, pain levels, feeding cues, and emotional well-being; reports concerns and documents care accurately.
- Operate and maintain equipment such as infant warmers, breast pumps, and monitoring devices.
- Ensure cleanliness and readiness of patient rooms and supplies in accordance with infection control standards.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- (RN) Registered Nurse
- Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
