Job Description

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications &

Experience:
  • Active RN license in good standing
  • Minimum of one year recent experience in an Operating Room setting
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (from the American Heart Association)
  • Strong familiarity with aseptic techniques, surgical instrumentation, and perioperative processes
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to adapt rapidly to evolving environments and remain calm under pressure
Schedule:
  • Contract position, schedule details provided during interview process
Role Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain the surgical area, ensuring adherence to strict infection control protocols
  • Assist surgeons during operative procedures with safe, efficient patient care
  • Conduct preoperative assessments and monitor patients throughout their surgical experience
  • Accurately document patient data and surgical interventions, maintaining precise records
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including anesthesia providers and surgical technologists
  • Demonstrate keen attention to detail in all aspects of perioperative care, including instrument counts and sterility
  • Participate in team debriefings and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and outcomes

$1,895 - $2,074/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
