Description:
This travel position is for a Registered Nurse in the Pre-Operative department.
The shift is from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.The unit consists of 9 preoperative beds and 5 recovery beds.
There is a nurse to patient ratio of 1:3.The unit is staffed with full-time and part-time RNs, and PRN RNs.Current responsibilities include phase 2 recoveries of urology, GYN, and other same-day surgery patients.
The RN will assist with pre-op surgeries, endoscopy, catheter lab, electrophysiology, and outpatient infusions.
Experience with Meditech EMR is preferred.
Candidates should prioritize patient experience and effective communication with staff and providers.
On-call duties are required, with a 30-minute response time expected.
Two 10-hour on-call shifts are required every 8 weeks.
