Position Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct nursing care and clinical oversight within the Health Care Center skilled nursing environment. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality resident care, administering medications and treatments, supervising nursing support staff, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and care standards.
We are seeking experienced nurses who are confident in their clinical judgment and comfortable working in a skilled nursing setting. Candidates should have prior hands-on nursing experience beyond clinical rotations or newly obtained licensure.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with individualized care plans
Administer medications, treatments, and physician orders accurately and safely
Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes appropriately to physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members
Supervise and support CNAs and CMAs during assigned shifts
Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
Respond promptly and professionally to resident needs, emergencies, and changes in condition
Ensure compliance with infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards
Participate in shift report, care conferences, and interdisciplinary communication
Foster a positive, compassionate, and resident-centered environment
Minimum Qualifications Current Kansas LPN license in good standing
Previous nursing experience preferred
Skilled nursing, long-term care, rehab, or post-acute experience strongly preferredIV certification preferred (additional pay available)
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skillsCPR certification required
Must meet pre-employment health screening and vaccination requirements
Schedule
Part-Time Day Shift6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Holidays as scheduled
