Travel RN – Medical/Surgical (Oncology & General Surgery)

Wichita, KS | Acute Care

Contract | Travel | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 13-Week Assignment

• Deliver primary nursing care to a Med/Surg patient population with a focus in oncology and general surgery on a 24-bed unit
• Monitor and document vital signs per unit protocol (every 8 hours for standard patients; every 4 hours for remote telemetry patients)
• Administer chemotherapy in accordance with unit policy — Chemo Certification required to hang or handle chemotherapy agents
• Perform standard Med/Surg procedures while supporting a remote telemetry patient population
• Collaborate within a primary nursing care model alongside charge nurses, fellow RNs, and administrative care techs
• Utilize the Meditech EMR system and an iPhone-based nursing communication platform to coordinate care with the full care team

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital Med/Surg experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

• Chemo certification (required to administer chemotherapy on this unit)
• ACLS certification
• Experience in oncology nursing or remote telemetry environments
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with a collaborative approach to patient care
