Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular​/CVOR

American Traveler is hiring a Charge CVOR RN for a cardiovascular operating room requiring prior CVOR charge experience and current KS or compact RN licensure.

Requirements

• Active KS RN license or compact license required
• Minimum 1 year of current hospital CVOR RN experience required
• Charge CVOR RN experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS certification preferred
• Open heart and cardiovascular experience preferred
• Prior Meditech experience preferred
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• No gaps in work history of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Work in a 2-3 room cardiovascular operating room (Open Heart unit)
• Staffing includes 4 RNs and 3 CSTs, with 1 CVOR RN and 1 CVOR CST on day shift
• No night shift staffing, on-call coverage only overnight
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Uses Meditech / CPN EMR
• Day shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• On-call required 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend per month
• Performs procedures including CABG, AVR, MVR, and TAVR
• Provide charge-level leadership and direct patient care within the cardiovascular OR
• ECMO program restarting, adding to unit capabilities
• Ideal candidates are confident, team-oriented, and maintain a positive attitude
• Strong communication with staff and providers is emphasized
• Patient experience is a top priority for the unit
• Local candidates will not be considered; a 50-mile radius rule applies with no exceptions
