Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (Nights)

Wichita, KS | Acute Care

Contract | Travel | Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 13 Weeks

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor & Delivery unit with a 26-bed capacity, supporting high-risk labor, C-sections, antepartum, and postpartum patients
• Manage patient ratios including 1:1 for high-risk labor and C-sections, 1:2 for antepartum/PPROM/PTL on mag and PP on mag, and 1:3 for PP mag without baby and outpatients
• Perform and assist with procedures including C-sections, inductions, AROM, IUPC, DFM, and Doppler monitoring
• Operate unit equipment including Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, Monica Novii telemetry, and CPN (GE) monitors; document using Meditech and CPN EMR systems
• Collaborate within a team nursing approach, supporting fellow nurses and contributing to unit staffing needs
• Adhere to unit-specific policies including oxytocin protocol

• Minimum 1 year of current hospital Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Active RN license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• EFM-C or AWHONN certification required

• Experience circulating C-sections
• High-risk LDR experience

• Self-scheduling model in place, offering flexibility and work-life balance within a collaborative, team-oriented nursing environment supported by strong and experienced leadership
• Unit features a newly established OB Hospitalist program providing attending support to the residency program and nurses working triage, along with a tenured staff with decades of combined experience
