The role is a full-time Critical Care Unit Registered Nurse responsible for delivering specialized cardiac and critical care to patients in a Wichita, Kansas facility. The RN collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to monitor, treat, and educate patients and families, ensuring high-quality outcomes. The position welcomes experienced nurses and new graduates alike.
Key Responsibilities:Monitor, assess, and manage patients with acute cardiac conditions
Administer medications, IV therapies, and other prescribed treatments
Operate and interpret cardiac monitoring equipment, telemetry, and other critical care devices
Respond quickly to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions
Document patient progress and communicate changes to physicians and the healthcare team
Educate patients and families on cardiac care, recovery plans, and preventive measures
Mentor and guide new graduates in the CCU setting
Current RN license in Kansas
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
Open to new graduates
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted
Skills:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
You hold a Kansas RN license with ACLS certification. You can manage acute cardiac patients and operate telemetry equipment. You enjoy mentoring new graduates in a critical care setting
