American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Dept RN for a free-standing ED in Kansas requiring a KS or compact RN license and TNCC certification.

• Free-standing emergency department (FSED) setting with 52 beds
• Staffing model includes charge nurse, 4 nurses, tech, unit clerk, physician and midlevel per pod on both day and night shifts
• Average patient ratio 3:1, low acuity 5:1, pediatric patients cared for using team nursing model
• Uses Alaris pumps for medication administration
• EMR system is Meditech
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment length

• Active KS or compact RN license
• Minimum 1 year of recent ED RN experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• CPI Blue Card certification required
• Experience working in large facility settings or prior travel assignment experience required
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• ENPC certification preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Perform IV starts, medication administration, sedations, and pediatric emergency care
• Required to scan patients and medications at every administration
• Fast-paced ED environment suited for adaptable, quick-learning staff
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
